Three Chattahoochee Release Dates
Georgia records use three date concepts that answer different questions. Chattahoochee County Jail records can show the day and time a person actually left the jail. A GDC offender sheet can show a MAX POSSIBLE RELEASE DATE, the outside sentence-computation date for a state prisoner. The State Board of Pardons and Paroles can show a Tentative Parole Month, or TPM, for final parole review. None should be substituted for another.
An actual release date confirms a completed custody event in the system that recorded it. A max possible release date is a sentence marker that may change. A TPM is conditional and may be postponed, canceled, or followed by a later parole release date. Pretrial detainees are different again. Their release depends on bond, dismissal, trial, a court order, or transfer, so there may be no set day to find.

Find Chattahoochee Inmate Release Dates
The correct route begins with the facility. The county jail, state prison system, federal system, ICE, and Fort Benning channels do not share one release calendar. A name alone may return the wrong person. Use a birth year, case number, GDC ID, conviction county, or known institution to confirm the match.
- Determine whether the person is in Chattahoochee County Jail, GDC custody, federal custody, ICE custody, or an installation-related channel.
- For state prison, open GDC Find an Offender and search by name, ID, or case number with other identifying facts.
- Open the matching offender sheet. Compare most recent institution, conviction county, current status, MAX POSSIBLE RELEASE DATE, and ACTUAL RELEASE DATE.
- Check the Parole Board TPM application when parole timing applies. Keep the TPM separate from the GDC maximum date.
- For a county sentence or pretrial case, call the jail information line or use the sheriff's open-records form, then check the court order.
- Confirm a critical date with the agency that computed or entered it.

Chattahoochee GDC Date Fields
GDC is for Georgia state-prison custody, not each person who spent time in Chattahoochee County Jail. Georgia.gov expressly directs county-jail inquiries back to the county. For a Chattahoochee County conviction that became a prison sentence, the statewide record can connect the local case to incarceration and later release.
Common public offender sheets may include name, GDC ID, year of birth, physical description, major offense, most recent institution, aliases, current and prior sentences, case number, conviction county, crime date, sentence length, incarceration dates, MAX POSSIBLE RELEASE DATE, ACTUAL RELEASE DATE, and CURRENT STATUS. Not every record contains every field.

Chattahoochee Release Credit Rules
Georgia's Performance Incentive Credit program, called PIC, is the most specific state earned-time source in the county research. GDC describes PIC as an incentive for eligible offenders who make satisfactory progress in education, vocational work, treatment, work assignments, and good conduct. An eligible person can earn up to twelve points. Those points may reduce a Tentative Parole Month or Maximum Release Date by one to twelve months.
PIC is not open to everyone. GDC lists exclusions that include death sentences, sentences of two years or less, non-parole-eligible or minimum mandatory offenses such as the serious violent felony category, and life sentences with or without parole. O.C.G.A. § 42-5-101 authorizes DOC work, education, counseling, program, and conduct credits and requires reporting to the Parole Board for release decisions or advancement of a tentative date.

The program affects state correctional timing. It does not set a same-day Chattahoochee County Jail release or replace a court's sentence.
Chattahoochee Parole Timing Limits
Parole eligibility is not the same as a projected release date. Under O.C.G.A. § 42-9-45, the general framework uses part of the sentence before consideration, subject to exceptions. The Board states that most eligible felony inmates become statutorily eligible after serving one-third of the sentence, but few are granted parole at the first eligible point.
Serious violent felony rules are stricter. O.C.G.A. § 17-10-6.1 governs the category that the Board describes as serious violent felonies. The Board says non-life sentences for those offenses with crime dates on or after January 1, 1995 are not eligible for parole consideration. Life-sentence eligibility can depend on the crime date and governing law.
A TPM means the Board plans a final review in that month. It can depend on good conduct or required program completion. Misconduct may postpone or cancel it. Even after a TPM is set, the Board may deny release or set a later actual parole date. Read the inmate's exact sentence and Board record before drawing a conclusion.
Chattahoochee Jail Good Time
No local Chattahoochee County Jail good-time policy page was found in the official public sources. Georgia law provides the county-jail framework without proving how a credit applies to a particular inmate. O.C.G.A. § 42-4-7 allows county custodians to award earned-time or good-time allowances within statutory limits and exclusions. It also requires jail records to show the day of discharge and the court order or process authorizing it.
A county sentence should therefore be checked with both the jail and the sentencing court. The jail can confirm the actual discharge entry and the process shown in its record. The Chattahoochee County Clerk can supply the sentencing order or a later amended order that changes the custody term. Do not calculate a local release date by applying the GDC Performance Incentive Credit rules to a county jail stay. PIC belongs to eligible state offenders and affects a TPM or maximum release date within the state correctional system. A court order, jail credit, or locally awarded allowance follows a different record path. When the sources disagree, request the exact jail discharge record and the controlling court order instead of choosing the earlier date.
For a short county sentence, ask the jail or sentencing court for the current computation. The sheriff's public request form can take a date range, case number, incident date, pending-case status, and added details. A pretrial person has no sentence credit calculation because no custodial sentence has been imposed. Bond and court action determine release instead.
The Chattahoochee County Clerk of Court is the local source for the sentencing or bond order. The sheriff confirms the jail's actual release entry. If a county sentence later becomes a GDC sentence, the date inquiry moves to the state system.
Note: State PIC credits and county jail good time arise under different systems and should never be combined in one estimate.
Why Chattahoochee Release Dates Change
A projected date reflects the facts known when the agency computed it. Later legal or correctional events can move the date forward or back. Some events affect only one system. A county court order can change a sentence, while GDC discipline affects state credits and a parole decision affects conditional release.

Confirm Chattahoochee Actual Release
Use the system that held the person. The official Chattahoochee County Jail listing identifies the local facility, whose staff can confirm its own release event. GDC can verify a state-prison record. BOP covers a federal sentence, and ICE's locator covers current ICE or recent qualifying custody. Fort Benning installation matters may begin with the Directorate of Emergency Services and then shift to a federal or military channel. A transfer out of one system is not always release to the community.
